Amstel Gold Race tweetmap
This map shows live tweets on the Amstel Gold Race combined with the map of the race and most important slopes. A storymap has also been created with the pictures of the important places. Storymaps combine pictures and maps to tell a story
This is the most important cycling event in Flanders: Ronde Van Vlaanderen as published by the SPORZA team of the VRT (Vlaamse Radio en Televisie). The map shows all the different events of the cycling tour.
ArcGIS Online now also supports tile layers
Check out the map below. Nothing special? You're wrong, this map is just a tile layer map. The tiles are not served by ArcGIS Server or another GIS server, they are simple tiles on a webserver. Other than that this map is also very special with its water color design for the whole world based on open streetmap.

Chelyabinsk meteorite social media map
The map below shows predominantly the youtube movies posted around the Chelyabinsk meteorite explosion. It gives indications on where particles have fallen on earth and where the explosion itself took place.
